ive recently heard something like that over the radio...and ive found it really interesting, funny and i must say to a certain extent quite true..haha.well here is 7 reasons why Beer is better than women...

1. You can enjoy a beer all night long

2. Your beer can wait in the car while you go and play soccer

3. Beer is never late

4. A beer doesnt get jealous when you grab another one

5. You can have more than one beer in a night and not feel guilty

6. You can share a beer with your friends

7. Beer doesnt come with in-laws

so here it is, no offence ladies, these are just for laughs. while im not exactly a great fan of beers...it sure puts me at ease the next time someone grabs me a beer!!

once upon a time, an old lady that is 104 years old was being interviewed.
she was asked
'what is the best thing about being 104 years old??'
she thought for awhile and replied..
'hmm.....i can live without peer pressure!'

sunday soccer was suppose to be a time where we gather, have some competitve yet friendly game, pit our skills against each other, and for those who doesnt play that well laugh about it. well that is usually the case, but not today.

playing against our rival team from elsewhere(god knows where they come frm or what they do for a living coz they look so much like a drug addict to me!!) all of us knew we were going to give our all, though we didnt really told each other. just when we were starting to play real well, james was hurt by them!by what seems to me as a bad and reckless tackle which caused him his ankle. that was when things start to turn sore. we never liked them, neither do they i guess. so they started finding trouble with us , and 1 of them even confronted james becoz of his remark(which is not at all vulgar or directed at them). as all of us rapidly lose the mood to play, thats when our magic that helped us won earlier on turned against us. everyone seem lost and playing for himself,no defence..and soon enough we lost.nothing were said between us, but we were all disappointed coz we didnt lose to the opponents, we lost to ourselves.

commitment, thats what we have been talking abt all night yesterday. but today i didnt think i see any, probably just a few glimpse of it here and there. today is a bad day for soccer, one of the worst if not.'stick together team'
hey james, recover soon man.

Yesterday altitude, the 5 of us finally got together after a very very long time...since jc, army we haven had much chance to sit together to have a gd meal.glad we did!! it was fun, lotsa laughter as usual and though detz gotta leave us early we had a great time walking down clarke quay and Mohammed Sultan...and i dunnoe why but it seems i was high on pokka apple tea..yea,was a little crazy!

mY SassY StorY

Friday, March 24, 2006

my friend was telling me abt his story tht day, telling me how much it is like the movie 'My sassy girl' how amazing and interesting it is..my friends i muz admit is a real gd storyteller,he can go on and on giving long descriptions abt wat actually happen and what he was thinking!although it can get on my nerves sometimes,if not most of the time haha.

people always think they''ve got the most exciting, touching story...thts wat've realise haha...especially when it comes to relationships, somehow, ure story will seem so much like those magnificient love stories shown in the movies in the novels!!got to make a confession here though coz i use to think my past relationship is like a movie as well.

well, my last gf is almost 2 years ago now...and since then ive never really had qualms on going into another one. not meeting much new people is certainly a reason(but thts ok),like everyone i yearn for a loving relationship with the girl of my dream but somehow as soon as i see the gd side of having a relationship im reminded of the bad!especially so as ive seen so many friends of mine falling out of their relationships due to so many reasons.so for now, im not going to rush into anything..but hope that all others that are still in relationships can be happy!!

b4 i end, im gonna share little quotes that ive read here n there...so take some time and enjoy them, will try and place them at the end of every entries.

anger managemeNt (2)

Monday, March 20, 2006

ive always believe that i am lucky to be blessed with a rather quiet temperament, not so hot-headed..well mayb other than when i am playing bball(sometimes) haha.
esp in a society like ours where people are constantly pressurized to perform to meet expectations to earn a living, basically to be what the society wants it to be.many people often give up their senses and let their emotions take control, thats when things go out of control and people go wild. i mean these could be one of the reasons for high divorce rates, teen suicidal rates, and crimes as well. what may seem like a personal prob may affect the entire community so indirectly.
just like when some parents may hit their children or even hurl abusive language at them and afterwards feel bad abt it, what happen was they let their emotions run them thus doing things that they actually knew was wrong in the 1st place.very bad actually.
not that i really dont have any temper at all, mayb just that i got a bigger threshold!haha...if we all can learn to take more things in our stride, complain less and be more in control it'll probably make u a better person.ur friends will enjoy ur company more and u'll have a happier family.

v for VeNdEtt@ rox

honestly i nv liked movies tht are too intellectual or political, movies like the pianist turns me off really...so when Janvin told us abt the movie 'V for vendetta' i was really quite hesitant abt watching it!...but since most if not all of us were steady abt it, i wld have went hm!!...
until the moment i stepped into the theartre i was still telling myself to try n enjoy it to its best..well all my worries were in the end futile as it turn out to be so so interesting..'v' the main character in the show was a terrorist,a hero a villian...though his face was hidden thru out the show,he charmed us with his words and charisma!!!amazing ya...i was trully impressed with how the character was presented...he said something tht i think is so so true.the part when the bad guy shot him with hell lot of rounds but 'v' still took his revenge undefeated, the bad guy asked why he doesn't die, and he replied...'behind my mask are not just flesh and bones, its an idea...and idea s doesn't die!!!' whoa...it swept my feet off!!the words so true...
i trully encourage all to watch this movie tht is action-pact,explosive literrally, and very intellectual if u look deep enough!!!...yea...gotta thank janvin for introducing such a great movie!!!

the truth behINd jACK Neo movieS

Saturday, March 11, 2006

Went to catch jack Neo's lastest addition to his list of self-direct movies 'i not stupid too' today. yea know its abit late, in fact i think its goin to stop showing real soon. Was suppose to watch it earlier on but my grandma, who is the 1 who really wants to watch it, is always busy.ha..ya so didn't watch till now.

i must admit that i went into the cinema with much anticipation as many has told me that its going to be tear-inducing and VERY(notice the caps)touching.

ok,apart from the usual 'made-in singpore' jokes, the show didn't really start with a bang. Towards the middle, jack neo made use of quite a few child-beating scenes here and there...and also the usual parents quarrelling and miscommunications between kids and adults which was recycled from ' i not stupid 1'.Like the 1st movie, kid's simple-mindedness and childishness made quite a few jokes in the show...which leaves us to ponder upon whether that is all jack neo has in mind?though some may argue that he is no doubt singapore's funniest man, after giving him chance after chance for hiz chinese variety show @ 8 ive lost my confidence.well, yes certain scenes really touched my heart, esp when jack neo himself kept begging a granny not to report his son to the police and even kneeled down in front of many ppl. On the whole the show wasnt worth a weekend movie but nevertheless should support singporean productions.

and mayb becoz ive seen almost all of his movies already, this time round during the show i kept wondering why such low-budget flicks which actually isn't much of a block-buster or star-studded movie can top the 'most popular film' chart week after week???how come movies of the same genre keep attracting flocks of singaporeans young n old?? and unlike movies like Fantastic four, skeleton key and king kong ppl dont get to know of the movie through ratings and previews.most of jack neo's movie are made known usually by word of mouth.amazing really!!

when ppl watch block busters they would imagine they are one of the heroes, therefore appealing to their fantasies.people can see their dreams on the screen making the esperience shiok!!ha..in jack neo movies almost the same happens, except that what people see is reality(their own past/life) being put on screen.so like the 1st case, people get to 'see' themselves in the movie, which means instead of jack neo being the main character people see themselves doing it. which in turns make them shiok!!AGAIN!!yes thts what i tink make all jack's film so appealing to the commoners.

being so succesful for 3 or 4 films by now, i am quite sure jack neo's not going to end it right there...lets make a bet, soon enough another of such movies is going to appear.because there are just too many people out there hungry to watch their life being acted out on screen...ha,believe me!

My 1st Interview

Wednesday, March 08, 2006

Striped shirt, a pair of formal pants and leather shoes to go with it...thts my turn out for my 1st interview eva. with a tiny bit of nervousness but mostly great anticipation i took off to SHENTON WAY!!yea, very excited.
as my ord date crawls nearer n nearer, im now beginnin to look for a job. Keep myself occupied for the next few mths n @ the same time gain workg experiences of which i have none at all...tht has prove to be costly as most companies ive approached prefer ppl with exps.
tHE last time i wore something so formal was probably for my unit DnD, so it made me rather uncomfortable...mayb just not use to it. sO many times i took the MRT before but seldom do i alight at Raffles Place..haha..well, it feels gd to be there.im not sure why though...
as i reach the company, quite a few other interviewees were there to. a woman in her late 20s,two teenage girls and a 30 odd year male.basically almost ppl frm all age grps were there...after fillin up the forms n stuff, 2 teenage boys came strudding in..which answers all my doubt whether i am over-dressed yest.(Earlier 1 actually i was worrying tht i mayb overdressed but i rem 1 of my friend told me b4 tht more than half the time Singaporeans are underdressed!)So the boys were clad in t-shirt and 3/4 berms carrying a back-pack!of corz im not making em a laughing stock but it made what my friend said really true yea..thank god i didnt give in to the singaporean side of me.
Well the interview went on smoothly and on a whole it was a great experience which made me dream of working in Shenton way myself next time.haha...i like to dream, because most of the time i either realise my dream or at least get close to what i dreamt of..haha..so hopefully 1 day i'll be writin abt getting to work in Shenton way k.
