15th June, was the birthday party of my youngest cousin Lindsey and Lincoln...they had their first birthday party in a hotel la..i din even get that for my 21st....haha...well, it was a nice party and i got to see my cousin from msia as well..yea..

Well i havent been lazing around at home lately, been busy meetin up with quite a few friends...played soccer, went out with yihshy, did IPPT(wahaha got Silver!!), went out with my mom, went out with the EID ppl....basically doing alot of things that i would not be able to do when im in shanghai. ive also got a job as a surveyor(again!!) thanks to marvin..haha...earning as much quick bucks as possible so as to help cover some of the expenses for my overseas trip...which of course is the main highlight of my year now. When im in shanghai, i'll get to haf a 1 week break while PRCs celebrate their national day....and i'll be expecting to quite abit of travelling during the time..hopefully i'll get to go to many places near china...tibet, nepal,japan....to name a few in my wishlist..haha

Well, sat's sINli's bdae party...all the way back to Loyang(where my camp use to be)!!argh...but im looking forward to it...should be fun...

this, this is what ive been waiting for after working my ass off for work year 2007-2008(dec hols were gobbled up by impresario rem!!), finally i am getting some time to laze around at home,on my bed...haha

Went Heerens yesterday, was doing 'Something Good' for the Make A Wish Foundation(with mike and cassandra)! yea, trying to earn some good karma for myself. We were suppose to sell stickers while they got buskers to perform...sold quite a lot i think, met some nice people and some who totally ignored me!!haha..

Ive been spending alot of nights out lately....the last one(yest) was spent sitting by SG river and eating nice desserts and just chilling out(tho theres never really chilling out in Singapore @ 32degrees celcius) with mike,ryan and det!!haha...it was a really gay setting..haha, but its not everyday that we get the chance to just sit down and talk(notice how simple it sounds but how hard it is for us to achieve)Nice dessert, good company, we were just short of a beer to end off a great chill session!!haha

Anw, i wont be in Singapore for much longer...my GIP shanghai has been confirmed and i'll be leavin on july 23rd! yea, after all that excitement of going overseas, now that its confirmed...i think i'll miss alot of my friends n family(of curz) in Sg!! haha.....not forgetting the Soccer...Gosh..

So ive been absent from my blog for a very very long time now, not that ive been lazy...but ive been really busy...with my school project (which has finally ended yest!!)and hanging out with my friends...new and old!!haha
So ive been to shanghai 2 weeks ago...yea,it was quite a trip!!Haps ar!!haha....so here it is...

Places i went

We explored pretty much everywhere that we could considering we spent 6 days in shanghai and another in Hangzhou!! KTV, Science Centre, Nanjing Road, Shanghai oriental pearl Tower, Big Thumb,The bund, Chang le Road, Clubbing at MUSE...wooo...thats quite alot of place..haha. We travelled around so much i feel accustommed to the city within a few days...haha..which is good considering i could well be going there for attachment soon!!haha

Food That Rocks

Over at shanghai i guess i can say that ive been thru hell and back to paradise(food wise at least) becuz ive had the best of the best food at Wang Pin Tai Su place and food that is purely substandard when we went on our day-trip to hangzhou(its that bad im serious!)..haha..but at shanghai itself food was really great, and affordable as well!!!haha...theres a good mix of road-side hongkong style food, jap food @ Babydoll(a nicely decorated restaurant) to real posh places...

The people

Mike, john, Janice and Jieying made up the rest of my shanghai party!! Our(john, mike n I) Friends-integrating-program has been rather succesful and amazing considering i only gotta know the girls for 4 hrs before we took the plane to shanghai..haha...how interesting!! oh and not forgetting Shirley whos mike's shanghainese friend we met over there...haha...

Though i always dun get to sleep when i want to, becoz the girls are no-sleepers (they dun slp til 4 am)haha..but there are alot of fun!!:)

The Sights

Over the course of 7 days, i not only got to know new people...i got to learn about shanghai and china. In a way it reduced my prejudice against the PRCs..haha, becoz i saw for myself how competitive their lives can get, how so many people are trying to earn a limited amount of money....

I experienced for myself the sights, sounds and smell maybe...haha..of shanghai!! Metropolitan it may be, it still has its fair share of really shackled buildings....opened to the globilisation it might be, it still has poor english signages here and there..haha...im glad it wasnt just a holiday for me, it was a trip that opened up my sights and understanding of another country!!
