Went out with zl last sat, we had breakfast at JP before heading to Hollywood Dinos at jurong birdpark. Irwin introduced it to us, curz his company was part of the organiser....and so we wanted to support him.but...

(here comes the buts)...

Having been named HOLLYWOOD dino, of curz u'd expect some hollywood blockbusters or at least internation standard exhibits. To begin with, our guide uses a loud hailer as if it were some pasar malam, then they used a huge poster as their photo-taking gimmick!!(erm, i dun think we need to come in to take photo for memory with a POSTER!!??) well everything inside was patched up and basically consisted of a mix of clay-looking "dinosaurs" which dances lyk Peter Crouch!haha...the tracks for the moving dinos werent even properly camouflaged! Overall it just looks like an exhibition set-up by a primary school. Wouldnt even say it was a nice try, curz in my opinion they didnt even try....haha, ok well the only gd thing i can think of is, it was fun laughing at it with ZL ard, besides tht....mediocre.
We headed down to Cathay to watch Legion, it was quite interesting and its been awhile since i watched a thriller, quite shiok.theres something abt angels recently, Legion being angels turned bad and then there is Tooth angel.haha.
After movies, we went to Liang court for dinner and dessert at Tampopo!! Zl had a big crave for their Cream Puff. We had dinner at Saizereiya, (2nd time in 2 days for zl)haha...but this time i got her to try Squid Ink pasta, since she wanted for a long time now. I had seafood riccoti instead. haha, it was certainly a challenge eating that great tasting but nasty looking plate of spaghetti,as zl ate like the most gracious lady in the world.haha..slowly i mean.
We had fun spotting ppl the restaurant eating it as well, and had alot of fun laughing at how a guy was like he had black lipstick on yet showing off to his gf!could be their last tgt, haha.
we didnt get to eat the Tampopo Cream puff though, much to zl's disappointment. We took home the raspberry cream puff and the choco banana chiffon cake instead. The cake was not too bad, but for such a simple dessert, it didnt reali impressed me much. The puff was not too bad, maybe the cream puff might be better. hmm, next time we go buy k...promise!!
So it was a day of disappointments i guess, but we had our fair share of laughs and funny moments...and for me it was a a good enough trade off, since we dun reali have much time to go out and enjoy with school and other stuffs.
happy 13mth dear!!=)

9.25am: @ CAN A

Not in the mood to mug like im suppose to....

Life's made up of many things that we are "Suppose" to do, suppose to find a job, suppose to do house work, suppose to be this and be that....
dont you wish sometimes you can escape from all the "have to"s and just indulge in all the "want to"s...i guess at some point of time we all do. To leave not only the work in our hand, but also the societal definitions of a successful person/filial son/good husband or bf/dutiful citizen.

Maybe we all want that sub-conciously; to live care-free, boundary less....and basically be selfish, selfish because we only want to do what we personally wld like to do. But we cant. One of the things our parents first taught us even before we went to Primary school, was to share and to be "friend friend" with the neighbour's kid. Because it is the same 2 things that define our society, that one have to live communally and follow the societal definitions, and that we cant be selfish as we want. So maybe it isnt such an easy thing after all to live as we want to...we can, actually, but only if ure also willing to sacrifice ure material belongings, companionship and how ppl judge u. More often than not, we're too greedy to sacrifice them, to be bold enough to leave them aside....
so....
whens my turn to be selfish?....might not happen after all.

iT was the end of Dec Holidays, my last dec holidays...
Went to Genting with zl and her family and amy...sorta a weird combi at first, but i guess it worked out well as we had our share of fun and carefree-ness during the holiday.

Day one

We walked ard, visited the casinos and made some 'donations' to them. It was actually the first time i played with money at the casino, previously it was only watching. Didnt had the best of hands to begin with, and i was afraid to lose more...probably didnt even play enough for the Beginner's Luck to fall upon me...haha

We had Kenny Roger's for dinner, where they mixed up our orders...but considering the price that we paid..i'll give it to them.ha, after dinner we had movies:" Body Guard Assasin". It was suppose to be quite an exciting movie...but maybe they over emphasized the history part of it, and we were all quite tired, so in the end we all took turns to doze off at some pt of time.haha..what a waste of money. And the cinema is probably colder than outside..haha..

Day two

iT was the highlight of the trip i guess, goin to the them park!! Amy was particularly brave and wanted to take the Space Shot right frm the start..haha, but we decided to train our hearts a lil bit with the other rides before we put it to the test.haha. I guess it was a gd time to visit the place, as the them park wasnt over crowded...the rides are the same, and the space shot juz as mind blowing.
Apparently, parachute training hasnt numb my sense of height afraidness...or maybe im getting old for the machine already.haha...but 1 thing i like to do is to see Indian ppl get up the Space shot. Indians like real indians frm India...ive seen them a few times, and almost all of em arent afraid of the ride. They go up and come down, like there were no difference....haha.
After space shot, we sent Amy off as she had to go back to Malacca. Before we went to take the Classic old car ride...just like the same 10 over years ago. ZL n i den went to try our luck at their game stalls, we surveyed all their stalls and learnt how to win the Soft toys.haha. Eventually we narrowed to 2 stalls..1 is to throw rings onto bottle necks and the other is just to throw coins on plates.
Spent a few bucks at the bottle stall...before we gave up reluctantly curz we were close a few times. Went down to try the coin stall...and bingo!!haha..the first try and we were lucky enuff to get the Medium Sized Toy!!haha...eventually, we got another smaller toy as well, all with about 16rm!yea
The rest of the day was spent slowly exploring the entire genting area and supper at TCC was great too..

Haven travelled since China and Genting was a really good break i shld say. the last 3 times ive been there..it was never with my entire family, maybe i shld head up there with em sometime soon!!
