Yes yes yes, all my friends are mugging hard for the exams already!! And im feeling the stress for you all too......

ok, ive got to be lying...but ya, jiayou ok!! It'll be over soon...

Guys, havent been going supper as often huh??wat happen to our Crazy Antics...now that john can drive too(congrats!!)...haha

Last weekend it was a visit to 'heavenly' Huangshan with my colleagues with thanks to a partially sponsored trip by our Company!!yea...

After queueing up for 1.5hrs for its cable car ride, it was then a rigorous climb up up and up!! Having 200 over people from our company alone is a lot of people, but theres also a whole lot of other people at the mountain itself....i know china is a crowded country but if even a mountainous area 1860m above sea level can be so crowded u hafta queue at certain scenic points....its gotta be really bad!! But i guess im more or less accustomed with being shoved and nudged by people everywhere i go, so the crowd didnt bother me too much.....
The temperature is not as cold as we expected it to be, abit like Genting Highlands during its colder days! The view was really good, thought he haze can be quite disturbing especially if you're trying to snap ya camara!!
Thanks to some brave decisions, for the way down huangshan we decided to use our legs...yea...all the way down that long and trecherous 1860m!! It didnt help that our tour guide gave us the wrong impression that we're short of time and so we were like continuously rushing for time....soon enough we were all shagged!the girls couldnt take it anymore and we decided to just stroll our way down...though still shag, but we had a nice chat...=)
Food around the Huangshan area is really bad though, though we were always eating in restaurants, non of them tasted good and for most meals, we just ate for the sake of eating!! It was so bad we went out to look for food the 2nd night...and even so it was like damn hard to find a proper food stall..and when we finally found a bbq stall(the most common kinda food stall you'll find in the whole of china)it tasted bad too....if bbq can also be bad...that place has really got a whole lot of room for improvement!!

Much as its a tourist attraction, alot of the places are not well developed and feels very much like a rural area!! But it was worth the shagness(our legs hurt for the next 3days) and i had a great time....=)

Part 2 :Inner Mongolia!!

Train ride from Beijing to Inner Mongo was 12 hrs long, and utterly atrocious!!haha....due to the large number of travellers during this period, they allow standing passengers on board the train as well...yea stand for 12 hrs! But that also means, a cabin meant for 60 over people may now have 100 over people...we were like refugees for that 12 hrs! suffer...

After tht long ride, we finally reached Hohhot(capital city iof inner mongo) and headed straight to the grassland!! Autumn it is now, hence we din get to see limitless acres of green grass, but mostly brown instead...nevertheless, the view was great... Highlight of the day has to be horse riding!! We got to ride the horse and control em ourselves, i got 1 that was super duper hungry....kept bending down to eat!!haha..it was really fun, surprisingly easy but expectedly painful for the ass!!haha...i thought i knew the right technic of riding after awhile..but all tht bumping and galloping gave me some abrasion to bring home as well!!ouch...

Looking into the huge grassland, listening to the wind...it was quite an experience...loved it!

Sunsets are nice, but sunrise is the best times of the day for me....coz its a brand new beginning and end of the dark!! I climbed out of bed at 430am in the freezing weather, met the rest to find our way to catch the sunrise! While waiting for mr sunrise, we stood out in the cold (barely reaching 5 degrees i believe)....and when we finally saw a line of orange....it was well worth the effort...nice:)

Sunrise!
Deserts have always been pictures and imaginations to me, this time round i got to be in one myself...and the best thing is...its not Hot!!haha...we visited the desert(highly commercialised already actually!) did some camel riding(they are really cool and peaceful creatures...and my ass din hurt!!) and did some sand wrestling with my tour guide as well(who loves to challenge me in wrestling,i dunoe y...hopefully not curz i look like a sumo!!)
The desert was a really scenic place as well, but it didnt feel as inviting as the grassland...maybe coz i never even imagine myself to be in one...i kinda felt weird!!haha
Sand boarding!!

Without a doubt, Genghis Khan has to be the biggest hero in mongolia!! We visited his memorial which was really cool...and had a quick lesson on his entire life journey!! Made my wish again at their 'Sacred stone pile'....which was suppose to be really gd!
Finally, when it all ended...i had to endure 30 hrs of train ride back to shanghai!!Went pass many many places..prob half of china!!haha...it wasnt that bad after all, and i got to see the autumn scenaries along the rural areas as well!! 30 hrs is long...but some slp, some card games, some psp and the ever-funny geraldine...helped shorten the trip i guess.haha...
With that...i made my way back from the long long journey...that was exhilarating and really interesting. Got to do many things that ive never done before...see many things that ive never seen before...and the company was great as well!! I cant say for sure i'll be back again...coz its really out of the way no matter where you're coming from..haha..but i'll miss horse riding in the limtless land...and the sunrise!!

And now, heres the most exciting trip of my life so far...8 days beijing/inner mongolia!!
Oct 1st is China's national day, and unlike us, its a big thing here....we all get 1 week's break from work!!Planning a trip in China is not the easiest of all, as planes are not as budget...trains are the way to go. And 13billion people certainly doesnt fit into that few trains that they have on the tracks,so theres always a frenzy when it comes to train tickets...i had to queue 2 hrs and go to work late before i got my tics...

1st stop, shanghai to beijing!!
Beijing was sorta stop over, stayed there 2 days only...upon reaching and meeting up with the rest, we headed to the Heaven Temple!

Its called heaven temple, but we din get to pray..haha..but i guess we were more interested in taking photos with the scenaries!Oh and theres a spot, where by right it is the closest distance between us and heaven!! and thanks to the proximity, wishes are said to have a better chance of being granted!!haha...i made 1!

next was the Forbidden City! i was there before, but the details and history of it was so rich i didnt mind goin to revisit it again!! This time round i got to see more as well, coz the last time they were preparing for olympics!! And hell, the entrance is not ex la, my tour agent last time must have made a killing on us!!

Wang fu jing Food Street was crazy!!haha..my fav was the 'Bing Tang hu lu' , the fruits were fresh and it didnt seem very sweet!the things you get to eat there is crazy, from different local eats to starfish, centipede, bees, seahorse, and goat penis!!! Any takers!?...errr..i didnt try any tho..haha...

I also went to Beijing Univeristy, tiong lee's sister is studying there!! Its really huge and their class rooms are really nice...their dorms are bad tho...like sg in the 80s!!haha...oH n i also found out Johnny(rv ELDDS) is yun's(tiong lee's sis) coursemate...rang him up, but he din haf time to meet up...too bad....wat a conincident!
One World One Dream....how can i not have a piece of the olympics!!haha...we headed to the olympic village....they dont sell tics at the venue itself, but theres nothing u cant get in china! Black market is always ard, even in broad day light! Go in and see only, also quite high!!haha..the bird nest is really big...but the whole olympic village is even bigger..its like a mega town...like so much open space...got its on train station, park, exhibition area...

Ending our beijing journey with a nice sumptous dinner n dessert with yun, we prepared ourselves for the highlight!! Part 2: Inner Mongo!!

And my mom joined in the fun as well!! She sent me a box of Love frm Chua chu kang!!haha....she loaded a box full of my fav biscuits, bought from behind my house and sent it over...haha...all the biscuits maybe cheap, but the journey over made them the most expensive biscuits i ever ate!!haha....it feels really really good to have a piece of home, especially when i can immediately recognise which stall my mom got it from..haha...:) Thanks
