July 25th. Dear zhi planned a day out for us....

We went to the Turf City where we had nice prata breakfast to kick off the day! Happy came along with us, and had his own share of breakfast at US Doggie Bakery. We were the only ones in the shop, so happy Happy had the whole place for himself, climbing up n down the sofa seats.haha. Later we went to se their Dog Spa area where it felt like a dog community centre all of em gathered, playing and barking at each other..haha

The afternoon was spent shopping for my shoe at Bugis Junction and PS.Which was also where i dropped my wallet, luckily i realised fast enough if not I'd prob just be spending on lunch that day! We shopped quite a bit that day...didnt get my shoe after all!!

Dinner was at Pasta Mania...we shared Pesto penne!! Hadnt had it since TaiKang lu in shanghai...it was nice, but not as good as the shanghai one.We looked quite pathetic i would say, stuck in a corner on what they call 'the staff table' and sharing one plate of spaghetti..haha...but im not complaining, dinner was simple but nice.

Finally it was LOOF at Odeon Tower! Dear zhi found the place! The way there made it seem conspicously Ulu...but once on the roof,it was a different picture. Maybe the nice cool weather helped, curz i particularly like the outdoor chilly setting, altho we chose to sit indoors as we didnt wana share the table..haha.

We sat at the corner(again!!haha)..this time we tried to shift the chairs and tables curz our only view were the construction building beside and the other patrons infront! Then came the waitress with 2 arms full of tattoo coming to tell us to shift back the furnitures! Ya she said it softly, but her tone was surely stern...i tried to talk my way out but in the end i loss to the tattoos i guess..whaha...Nevertheless, we had a nice long chat(dear zhi n i that is...not the waitress!!ha), dear zhi spilled her drink and we tried their pizza which wasnt that good. Towards the end of the night, i passed dear zhi her present! A DIY decorated Pebble, (hope you like it!) which i carried in my back pocket the entire day w/o her knowing..hee..as for me, i got a new laptop carrier wif DIY deco on as well, self sewn pinecones!!! by dear zhi herself.Very nice!=)

On our way back(this is getting too long..haha)we decided to walk into CHIJMES to take a look. I wanted to show dear zhi the banquet area where ppl usually hold weddings...so we walked there. Then i saw a familiar face on the wedding photo on display, took a look at the name..and i realise it was my primary school's best friend who was getting married..haha. what luck!! Wanted to go in and congratulate him, but didnt want to risk him not recognising me or us having any awkward moment. But i shld have! Anw, sometimes, im just really amazed by what Fate can do to us...everyday.

It was a great day out, our 7th month! Thanks Dear, for being around.

Had intended to blog about my wunderful weekend but since photos are not in yet...heres my thought of the week...

This is my last week of Internship @ RWS, been learning a hell lot and having quite a good time as well...besides all the dirty job i guess. Leaving my post and heading back to School is quite sharp turn i would say, it also left me thinking about my post-graduation life...where am i going to go really? While there are vague ideas of what i really want from my job, but specifically...i still have some decision-making to do....
Ive had various views so far..from the 'pessimistic ones'-worrying about not getting a job, 'contented ones'-just give me job and monthly pay enough for my family(i dont need to climb the corporate ladder, 'Chiong ones'- Must get a job overseas and earn Expat pay(my family can wait) to more 'Balanced ones'-get a job and climb by good performance!!....sure is some contrasting views, i guess i know which is me...but with 1 yr left in school, there really should be some ironing out done soon. i can smell the school work coming already, not good at all, but im ready i guess...its been a fruitful holiday, maybe i could have slacked more, but yea, not too bad i guess.

Well no matter what decision i make, theres one thing im sure of....guess we're all stuck in this rat race to get the best out of our lives!! Strive to do well, but dont forget to stay Happy too!

Soccer was not bad today, had fun playing with the guys...During the games, it came across to me when my team lost on one occasion...that sometimes...Being good may not be enough. While my team maybe good on paper, it takes alot of other factors to ensure u win the game...guess it applies to our lives as well....
That aside, next week marks the anniversary of my shanghai journey.July23rd 2008 was the day i flew into the ancient land of China, with my 3 good buddies. It was a 6months to remember, enjoying everyday and sharing our fun and sadness as well!!haha..Flipping through our photos, i realised that although we are almot together everyday its rather hard to find a picture with all 3 of us together in it. So ive chosen here the very first photo we took(above) when we touched down at Shanghai International Airport and finally and my last photo with each of them during our trips off shanghai. I couldnt ask for more from them as my housemates!
Brothers!

Spent the week back in Hendon Camp with the cdo guys, the week has been really really hectic..everyday slpg past midnight and waking up early. With all our short haircut, and donning the green Uniform, it sure feels like NS times once again. I guess its really true that its in difficult times that true relationships can be formed, this i felt during my week long training. Though we only have the occasional gatherings, once back together, it was the same fun and laughs and more importantly the brotherhood with my detachment especially that im proud of, always know that if anything i can depend on them!

Night at the Musuem!
And finally i gotta see my dear zhi after the week!!(its been a long long week u noe?) We attended the Singapore Night Festival at SMU Green and all the musuems, it was a great night of fireworks and interesting exhibits with us taking on a more cultured persona.

It was also surprising that amidst the random snapping, one of the Musuem guide actually compliment my photo on the Glass City(top left above) as "..the best ive seen so far." haha, of curz i didnt take it to heart because it was a really random shot..but still, thanks.

We watched an acrobatic performance called Loop of Fortune @ the SMU Green. It was quite repetitive maybe there were more meaning to it but the lighting and music was great. But it wasnt all smooth, as we saw the lead singer fell from her moving platform during the performance and the show had to pause for a moment. It was quite a bad fall as the platform was rather high, didnt know what happen to her...hopefully she fell on the grass patch and wasnt too bad.And it was also then that a group of yound adults standing behind us that started calling their friend who saw the performance the night earlier to check if the fall/prank was part of the performance!!!Seriously!thought that was really shallow, curz obviously this is not a comedy show...its an art performance. I guess many of us still have lots to catch up on the arts scene, not that im good but at least read up abit mah...The performers were really professional though, continuing the show proper even after the hiccup.Kudos to them.
The National Musuem is actually a very nice place, i think dear zhi liked the place with all the british architecture and history. It was fun, chatting and getting people to help us take photos, and i must say people u get to help u at the musuem takes much better photos too. haha.
Me & Dear zhi
i've missed u... =)
