The end of the year, marks our 1st anniversary, it didnt seem that long ago when we celebrated christmas in Shanghai...

We went to Goodwood Park for their Hightea Buffet, zl had wanted to try it for awhile already. The cottage-like architecture made it a nice place, even though it took us abit of map-reading before we found our way to the EL' Espresso.
Eating buffet (with the guys esp) is often a tactical and non-stopping activity, haha...i guess high-tea is different and what more eating it in the hotel. So i gotta admit i held back alittle..haha.
From Sandwich to cheese to the cakes, i would say i enjoyed eating all the food there served. Quality really makes a difference i guess, curz almost everyone we took made me want to go back for more.haha.

Sitting by the window, with the pool view and the food...the perfect setting for a nice lazy afternoon tea. So we ate and chat and listened to the piano-man on the piano, whom we suspect goes to different pianos ard the hotel to play in intervals, curz he always disappears after awhile.haha
After high-tea, we headed to Marina Barrage to fly Kite. To our surprise, there were lotsa ppl flying kite there, it was like they were having a competition or something.ha.
So as most ppl wld know the taking off part it the hardest in kite flying. So taking out the kite, we tried to team-up and work tgt to get it flying....but to no avail. After awhile then we realized something is missing, as we didnt fixed a part of the kite.haha..so dumb, no wonder i saw the malay kids laughing at us earlier.haha
and that was only obstacle 1...while releasing the strings..we realize that they are badly tangled...and we cant extend it any further. Well we didnt go there to fly the kite at a height we can easily reach flying at the neighbourhood park. So we tried to un-tangle everything...after about another 30mins, we decided to let the knot fly as well..haha..it didnt work either, coz the string broke.haha..it was really quite demoralizing.
Finally we manage to resolve it...and were ready to challenge the other kites.wahaha.oh, but i guess most of them had already gone home, since it was nearing dark alr.haha. After zl hogging it for very long(haha), i finally had a hand..and it sure is fun flying the kite...feels like im flying away with it soon.
So the night was spent, challenging other kites, trying to fly the highest..and learning not to be gan cheong even if the kite seem like falling.haha.
Amazingly, we flew the kite 3-4 hrs long...before we finally headed for a quick dinner and home..after a special and fun day.
Thanks for the presents, and everything, zl.=)

The holiday has been too much of a slack for me, and im not that use to the drop in tempo...curz the previous holiday was spent working, its really been awhile since i actually had the liberty to wake up and think what im goin to do today.

Haven really played as much soccer as i would like, and mike's leaving.Although, Ive certainly been playing more poker than i think i would, and the guys are still crazy over it, haha.

Been to Botanical Gardens for picnic wif zl again, this time round food was a tat simplier and we brought Happy along. Well maybe it was more like Happy was bringing us along, curz he decided where he wants to go, which path he wants to take and stuff. haha. While eating, it was pretty much the same, as he barge around us in search for food..haha, guess we din had much of a worry about him wandering too far away from us as he was always ard us in search of food.

It wasnt until night fall, that he settled down and sat down with us proper.haha. We had Rice roll(home-made) and Soba for dinner(home-made) and Mango mousse Crumble frm Da Paolo. Rice roll still reminds me of Shanghai, but maybe curz we're not eating it in the cold, and it isnt from the run-down road-side stall, it just seem to lack something. Soba wasnt too bad, and if we were not that full we wld certainly have finished the Mango mousse which was really gd.

It was nice after dinner, as we sat with Happy between us...talking, looking at the lighted Xmas Treesss..
Though it was quite tiring, at least Happy enjoyed it quite alot=) a nice, quiet evening.

Its finally over, the gruelling 3 weeks of exams, 1 mth of pre-exams mugging and a whole sem of studying!! Every sem i tell myself, ive never studied so hard in my life before...haha, i guess to have so much room improve...i must realli have not studied much in the past..hee

After my last paper, went straight ta town...went to TOAST @ Taka, seems that both times we went there, it was raining!!haha. Had a sandwich, salad and muffins. A healthy and satisfying meal=) After that we went to PS, Diaso to get Flower pots-to do some planting the next day!!haha...so we carried the pot round Orchard the whole day...haha.We went to catch 2012. Yea, certainly abit late...but we din have time out then. Had plan to get a good seat, but by the time we went all were taken up alr....in the end had to sit at the corner, 3 roles from the front.

But at least the movie was nice, apart from the scenes and scenes of devastation, their noah's ark idea was cool too..

Today we stayed home and slack...did some planting with ZL,and then helping her do her Icing Cake.haha. Zl learnt and tried herself, wasnt the best but if it was me i waouldnt have got anyway near....so yea, it was a good job, proud of ya!!
Goin to take my well deserved break now...wooo hooo!!
