Thursday, November 13, 2008Autumn leaves @ JiaoDa University  Its autumn, closing in on winter here in shanghai. Temperature has dropped to below 15deg and can be quite enduring especially at night. Played soccer in the rain and amongst the wind, guess its kinda cool...coz in singapore you only play in the sun or not and thats it!haha..but then you'll run the risk of falling sick easily...and tanning is definitely not allowed(as im turnin white as tofu by the day!!haha). Daytime in shanghai are short...as it starts to turn dark at 5pm. i prefer longer days...get to see more of the sun!My parents and sis are coming to shanghai soon...got some planning to do....but i think i know the city well enough already to bring em around the nice places!! Looking forward.... My place @ 5.15pm  And heres some photos from TaiKang road, a really cool district where they converted shanghai's old houses to really cool restaurants and cafes and some boutique shops!! Too bad it was rainin when we went, cab was hard to get and it wasnt the best weather to explore the place!! It seems ive been having all the fun in china huh....all travel, all play!but no, i have my fair share of work and study too..just that its not worth blogging, nothin too exciting!!haha.. BumBoat Ride! Well the thing about travelling in china, theres never an end to places where you can go..basically you can go to anywhere your money allows you to!! But the down side, most of the places look and feels the same, with probably the temperature being the biggest difference between any places...ha..same goes for suzhou, we visited 'Ding Yuan'(some park), a pagoda(which we vandalised on top of it)haha, 'Han shan si'(some temple) and had the famous 'yang chen' lake hairy crab which cost 5SGD each!! Vandalism!  Hairy Crab!  In the pic(eliz,valerie,yeonghui, weijun and zhilei)  Over the last weekend, we had a GIP meet the prof session!!haha, sounds boring huh...it was apart from the crap with my table mates and colleagues!!haha...we were treated rather substandard buffet, haha.after so long....i guess i was expecting more from the school huh...Venture guys!!
